Toyota Indiana Marks Production Of Its 1 Millionth Hybrid Vehicle With The New Sienna

In a significant achievement, Toyota Indiana has reached a milestone with the production of its one-millionth hybrid vehicle at the Princeton plant.

The 2025 Toyota Sienna Platinum, in Wind Chill Pearl, marked this event with its lights flashing and horn honking. Since 2003, the Sienna has been assembled here, with the all-hybrid model being the latest version crafted by 7,650 team members.

The Sienna’s interior is designed for comfort and style, making every journey enjoyable. It boasts an EPA-estimated 36 combined mpg rating, allowing families to travel further with fewer stops. Recently, it secured the top spot in the minivan segment of the 2025 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study.

Jason Puckett, president of Toyota Indiana, expressed pride in reaching this milestone. “The all-hybrid Sienna demonstrates our commitment to electrification and remains a top-selling vehicle in Toyota’s lineup,” he stated. This achievement highlights Toyota’s dedication to sustainable mobility solutions.

In May alone, sales of the Sienna increased by over 95% compared to the previous year. Nearly half of Toyota’s sales volume for that month consisted of electrified vehicles. This diverse range of electrified options supports Toyota’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.

Toyota has been part of American culture for nearly seven decades and is committed to sustainable mobility through its Toyota and Lexus brands. The company employs around 48,000 people in the U.S., contributing to over 35 million cars and trucks produced at its 11 manufacturing plants.

In spring 2025, Toyota will begin producing automotive batteries for electrified vehicles at its North Carolina plant. With more electrified vehicles on roads than any other automaker, Toyota offers 32 electrified options currently available.
