Is Kiara Advani’s Nadia in Toxic similar to Harley Quinn?
In the trailer of , Kiara plays a circassienne named Nadia. Yash’s Raya falls in love with her, and they have a son named Rumi/Ticket. The trailer showcased the actress as a fierce and brave artist. Her look in Toxic reminded many of Harley Quinn, who is ‘Joker’ Arthur Fleck’s right-hand. She loves him. Interestingly, there are some similarities between Kiara’s Nadia and Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn.
Harley Quinn’s story might have inspired ’s Nadia, as she says in Toxic’s trailer, ‘voh mujhse nafrat karte hai,’ indicating that her relationship with Raya is one-sided. Kiara Advani’s Toxic character inspired by Cirque Du Soleil
As per earlier reports, Kiara’s character is from the world of Cirque Du Soleil. Sources said that the makers of Toxic flew down international artistes for the Cirque du Soleil-inspired act to work closely with Kiara, designing and rehearsing an act aimed at creating a ‘visual that has not been seen before in Indian cinema, to make it at par with global scale and give a cinematic experience.’ The source added, “Kiara’s character is said to be fearless, raw and intoxicating, blending grace, strength and intensity, making her screen presence powerful in the film.”
Harley was an expert in gymnastics, weapons, and hand-to-hand combat. Her agility was her strength. On the other hand, Nadia’s core is circus stunts and ballet paired with fantasy.
