Kiara Advani is being trolled for her scenes with Yash in ‘Tabaahi’, a song from the upcoming movie ‘Toxic’. Netizens have been making sexist remarks against the actress, asking why a married woman and mother would do such scenes. But Yash, who is also married and is a father, hasn’t received the same kind of hate for the same scenes.
Reacting to this, Huma Qureshi said the women from the film will have the last laugh once it comes out, basically saying the movie itself will shut down the critics.
Speaking on Yuvaa’s ‘Be A Man, Yaar!’, the host brought up how Kiara faced far more backlash for her intimate scenes in ‘Tabaahi’ compared to Yash, even though both actors are married. Responding to this, Huma said, “It’s sick. It’s disgusting, absolutely. But I think women in this film, the actresses and the directors, will have the last laugh. There’s no point in trying to defend something at all because you can’t change people’s mindset with words. I would just let the film do the talking. Who are these people? I think the world is a very kind place, but the internet is not.”
Kiara has been dealing with a wave of criticism and rude comments ever since ‘Tabaahi’, the debut song from Yash’s ‘Toxic’, dropped online. Trolls extended their attacks to her husband, Sidharth Malhotra, flooding his Instagram with similar remarks.
What started out as criticism of Kiara’s professional choices soon turned into unwanted commentary on her personal life, her marriage and her bond with Sidharth.
