Top gainers and losers: The Indian benchmark indices, SENSEX and NIFTY50, closed in the negative territory for the second straight session on Tuesday, June 30, amid selling in IT stocks.
On Monday, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold stocks worth ₹1,350.10 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) purchased shares worth ₹2,801.45 crore on a net basis, according to exchange data.
The SENSEX slumped as much as 0.52% to touch an intraday low of 76,329.39. The NIFTY50 reached the session’s low of 23,829.20.
On June 30, the SENSEX declined by 249.70 points or 0.33% to close at 76,329.39. Meanwhile, NIFTY50 ended at 23,865.75, down by 80.50 points or 0.34%.
NIFTY50 top gainers and losers
The top losers included Eicher Motors (-4.38%), Tata Consumer Products (-3.58%), Tata Consultancy Services (-3.09%), Infosys (-2.96%), and Wipro (-2.92%).
On the flipside, Maruti Suzuki (5.52%), Titan Company (3.41%), Bajaj Finance (3.17%), Adani Enterprises (2.62%) and Eternal (2.24%) were among the top gainers of the day.
NIFTY Midcap 100 top gainers and losers
NSE’s NIFTY Midcap 100 gauge ended higher by 0.37% or 230.40 points at 61,797.70.
Its top winners were Cochin Shipyard (6.05%), Coromandel International (5.29%), L&T Finance (3.66%), FSN E-Commerce Ventures (3.49%), and Alkem Laboratories (3.37%).
The stock of PI Industries touched its 52-week low after reporting a 39% YoY decline in its consolidated profit after tax (PAT) to ₹200 crore in the March quarter of FY26.
On the other hand, KPIT Technologies (-5.86%), Tata Elxsi (-3.89%), Yes Bank (-3.39%), Astral (-2.68%), and Multi Commodity Exchange of India (-2.52%) were among its top laggards.
NIFTY Smallcap 100 top gainers and losers
The NIFTY Smallcap 100 index jumped by 1.02% or 190 points to end at 18,863.10.
The top gainers in the pack included Ola Electric Mobility (7.42%), Aptus Value Housing Finance India (5.18%), Capri Global Capital (4.98%), Force Motors (4.34%), and Gland Pharma (4.19%).
On the contrary, the top losers were Tata Technologies (-4.48%), Firstsource Solutions (-3.08%), IDBI Bank (-2.95%), the Great Eastern Shipping Company (-2.70%) and IFCI (-2.69%).
