A very shocking incident of honor killing has come to light in Manesar, Gurugram. The story that came to light after the arrest of two men on charges of murder and rape of a 19-year-old girl is shocking.
The girl’s 28-year-old brother had asked his friend to murder her. The friend took advantage of the opportunity and satisfied his lust by raping the girl before killing her. The brother had decided to murder her because of her love and insistence on marrying a boy from another community.
According to investigators, the deceased girl and her brother were residents of Etah-Agra in Uttar Pradesh. Both of them lived in Manesar, Gurugram for six years. Trouble started when the brother came to know that his sister was in a love affair with a 24-year-old boy from another community and wanted to marry him. Police said that after coming to know about this, the brother sent the sister to Etah on November 15. But on November 22, she ran away and came back to her lover in Manesar.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (Manesar) Virendra Saini said that after this the brother conspired to murder. He involved one of his friends in this. The friend contacted her sister and said that he would help her escape and marry her lover. The girl came to Jhansi. Both of them met at Rampura Chowk on 10 December and then went together to Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh. The girl’s brother also went there secretly.
Police said that the accused took the girl to a secluded place in Gwalior. Here he allegedly first raped the girl and when she protested, he strangled her to death with her own scarf. Here he buried the girl’s body under debris in a field. After this both of them came back. Initially the girl’s brother tried to mislead the policemen and accused the sister’s boyfriend of murder.
When the girl’s boyfriend was taken into custody and interrogated, it became clear that he was not in Gwalior at the time of the incident. It was also revealed that the girl’s brother and his friend were there. After strict interrogation, the girl’s brother confessed to his crime. His friend also confessed to the rape and murder. A case has been registered against both of them under various sections of BNS. Investigators say that a lot will become clear after DNA test, potency test of the accused and postmortem report comes.
