Employees lost their senses as soon as they opened the parcel
According to reports, when the family refused to reveal what was inside the sack, the courier staff became suspicious. He noticed something was wrong, so he decided to open the parcel. As soon as he opened the parcel, he was shocked to find that an elderly man was inside it. The staff were shocked by this incident and began to worry about the man’s safety. Sources said that the elderly were looking very distressed and due to being confined in the sack, they were having difficulty in breathing.
Later the family told that all this was done for a social media video. He said that the idea of this video was to show the difficulties faced in traveling during festivals like Ugadi and Ramzan, when bus tickets are often not available. According to him, the purpose of the reel was to show that when tickets are not available, the last option left is to ‘courier a person’.
Despite being caught by the courier office staff, the family remained adamant that their package should be accepted. He argued that he had ‘worked hard’ to get here. His insistence further increased the tension, after which the employees informed the police.
Soon officials reached the spot and took the family to the police station for questioning. Authorities later confirmed that the family recorded an apology video in which they acknowledged that their actions were irresponsible. The police released them after giving a strict warning not to perform such stunts in future. This incident has sparked a new debate on social media about how far people can go to go viral and gain attention and what are the risks of creating such dangerous content.
