Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanams
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) of Andhra Pradesh has given good news to the devotees. It has officially announced the dates of Vaikuntha Dwar Darshan which is organized on a large scale every year. This year, he has taken important decisions giving priority to the common people. TTD has made special arrangements to facilitate Vaikuntha Dwar Darshan and divine darshan for the devotees at Tirumala Venkateswara Swamy Temple.
This holy festival will last for 10 days from 30 December to 8 January. According to the scriptures, on the day of Vaikuntha Ekadashi, the doors of heaven open and devotees attain salvation. During these holy days, 182 hours are allotted to provide darshan to a total of 8 lakh devotees, out of which 164 hours are for general devotees only.
TTD is making many changes to give priority to common devotees. In particular, the time for VIP break darshan has been significantly reduced. Morning timings have been changed to afternoon and evening, due to which the waiting time for common devotees has reduced. Special darshan will be given only to those who follow the protocol. VIP break darshan time has been limited to 4 hours 45 minutes on the first day and maximum 2 hours on other days.
Who will get permission to visit when?
The first three days (30 December – Ekadashi, 31 – Dwadashi, 1 January – Trayodashi) will be limited to Sarva Darshan only. These days only those with online e-dip tokens will be allowed. Registration can be done from November 27 to December 1 through TTD website, mobile app or Vaikuntha Darshan App. Up to four people can participate in each registration. On December 2, a random selection will be made through AI system, in which 70 thousand tokens will be distributed for Ekadashi, 75 thousand for Dwadashi and 68 thousand tokens for Trayodashi. Those coming without token will not be allowed darshan during these three days.
Sarva darshan will be available to a large number of devotees from January 2 to 8. 15,000 special entry tickets of Rs 300 per day and one thousand Shrivani tickets will be issued online. Online booking of 5,000 tokens per day will be done on first come, first serve basis on January 6, 7 and 8 for local devotees of Tirupati and Tirumala. Overall, for the convenience of the devotees, a special legal committee has been formed regarding security and crowd management. The facility of darshan will be available only when the devotees register online in advance and get the token.
