‘Thudarum’ box office collections day 7: Mohanlal’s film mints Rs 44.29 crores

Mohanlal’s emotional drama ‘Thudarum’, directed by Tharun Moorthy, continues its strong performance at the box office with a total India net collection of Rs 44.29 crores by the end of its first week. The film, which had a solid opening weekend, has received good reviews from the audience.

Decent hold at the box office

‘Thudarum’ kicked off with a promising Rs 5.25 crore on Day 1 (Friday), followed by a significant surge over the weekend, earning Rs 8.6 crore on Saturday and peaking at Rs 10.5 crore on Sunday. As the weekdays progressed, the film maintained a decent hold: Rs 7.15 crore on Monday, Rs 6.5 crore on Tuesday, and Rs 6.24 crore on Wednesday. However, Day 7 (Thursday) saw a drastic dip, with collections plummeting to just Rs 5 lakhs, indicating the end of its peak run.


Good occupancy rates

Despite the drop, ‘Thudarum’s occupancy on Day 6 (Wednesday) remained strong with an overall 48.92% in Malayalam 2D screenings. Notably, night shows saw the highest footfalls at 64.33%. Among key regions, Kochi led with a whopping 76% average occupancy, followed by Kozhikode at 73.25% and Trivandrum at 62.25%. Bengaluru and Chennai had more modest turnouts, reflecting the film’s stronger appeal in its home state.
