At the beginning of 2025 i.e. on 29 January, a stampede broke out at four places near Sangam Nose on Mauni Amavasya in the Mahakumbh of Prayagraj. About 82 people lost their lives in this. And more than 60 people were injured.
On May 7, 14 days after the Pahalgam terror attack (April 22, 26 tourists were killed), India attacked 9 targets in Pakistan and PoK with BrahMos missiles. More than 100 terrorists were killed in this. This was India’s biggest military operation after 1971, which frightened the Pakistani Army.
On June 12, an Air India flight from Ahmedabad to London’s Gatwick Airport crashed just seconds after takeoff. While 241 passengers on board were killed due to a heavy plane falling on the building of a medical college near the airport, 39 doctors studying in the hostel also lost their lives.
On February 15, there was a stampede during Mahakumbh at Delhi Railway Station, in which 18 people died and many were injured. The accident occurred due to the huge crowd on platform 14-15, confusion among the passengers and the chaos caused by the fall of heavy luggage of a passenger. Fans were celebrating the victory outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Meanwhile, a stampede broke out due to the large crowd. At least 11 people lost their lives and more than 50 were injured in this tragic accident.
On November 10, there was a massive explosion in a car near the Red Fort in Delhi at 6.52 pm. Due to this, the vehicles moving around the car were blown to pieces. 40 kg of high grade explosive was used in this blast. Suicide bomber Umar was also killed in this terrorist incident. 13 people died in this terrorist attack, while 32 were injured.
On December 6, 20 people working there lost their lives due to a fire in the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub in Goa. Apart from this, 5 tourists were also killed in this accident, out of which 3 were from the same family from Delhi. In this fire incident, restaurant owners Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra were arrested by the police and sent to judicial custody.
