In the 90s, Pakistan not only had deadly bowlers but also dangerous batsmen, among which the names of two openers Saeed Anwar and Aamir Sohail come to the fore. Both were left-handed batsmen, who had accurate shots and amazing timing. Sohail used to play shots by looking the bowlers in the eyes. The 1996 World Cup quarter-final against India by both of them is a great example of this. Both the batsmen had batted amazingly on the Bengaluru ground. After the breakup of this pair, Pakistan disintegrated in such a way that it has not improved till date.
