Veteran South African cricketer Hashim Amla has chosen his best ODI team. He has put his stamp on the best playing eleven of 50 over format. He discussed the issue of choosing the best 11 from world cricket in an interview given on a YouTube channel. Hashim Amla, an expert cricketer of South Africa, has included 3 Indian players in his best team. However, the surprising thing is that Rohit Sharma’s name is not in the list of those 3 Indian players. Meaning Rohit Sharma is out of his best ODI team.
There is no doubt that Rohit Sharma has the ability to fit into any white ball team of the world. The biggest personal score of any player in ODI cricket is in the name of Rohit only. Despite this, let us see whom Hashim Amla has selected by not giving place to Rohit Sharma in his best team.
Hashim Amla chose the best 11 of ODI
Hashim Amla chose his best ODI team on Subhankar Mishra’s YouTube channel. He kept India’s Sachin Tendulkar and Australia’s Adam Gilchrist in the team as openers. Apart from that, he took Virat Kohli for number 3. Brian Lara is at number 4 in Amla’s best team.
Wicketkeeper batsman AB de Villiers has also been replaced by Hashim Amla. He has chosen Jacques Kallis for number six. Whereas he has given place to Mahendra Singh Dhoni at number 7.
These 4 bowlers were included in the team
As much as Hashim Amla looked confused while selecting the batsmen, he remained equally clear while selecting the bowlers. He selected 2 spinners and 2 fast bowlers in his team. Among the spinners, he gave chances to Muttiah Muralitharan and Shane Warne. So, apart from Pakistan’s Wasim Akram, compatriot Dale Steyn was kept in the pacer.
