Oil is extracted by pressing the seeds along with the peel. In this process, the oil is refined to remove impurities so that its taste, smell and color are lost.
During this, water, salt, caustic soda, sulphur, potassium, acid and other dangerous acids are used to remove impurities. This process produces thick waste like tar, which is used in making tyres. Due to these acids this oil becomes poisonous.
