In Mysore’s Bettadapura, a mother murdered her 10-day-old and 2-year-old daughters by slitting their throats. Later he himself committed suicide. Police have registered the case and started investigation.
Mysore: A heart-wrenching incident took place in the Muslim block of Bettadpura in Piriyapatna taluk on Saturday morning. Here a mother, after slitting the throats of her 10-day-old and two-year-old daughters, also committed suicide by slitting her throat. Arabia (22), daughter of Jamrud Pasha, resident of the Muslim block of the village, closed the door of her room and killed her ten-day-old baby and two-year-old daughter Anam by slitting their throats and then committed suicide.
When the father came to know about this, he broke the door of the room, only then this incident came to light. Jamrud Pasha had married his daughter to Musabir, son of his sister Kutej, in Arehalli village of Piriyapatna taluk three years ago. After the first daughter, her second daughter was born ten days ago in the government hospital in Piriyapatna.
It is being said that Arabiya had come to her father’s house in the Muslim block of Bettadpura seven days after delivery. Bettadapura police reached the spot and registered the case and are investigating further. Fingerprint experts and additional police officers have also reached the spot.
