Former Microsoft Pakistan Founder Jawad Rahman urged the government and the Information Technology (IT) Minister to join the technical veterans with a bold KPI (main performance indicator) operated scheme. Alvi claimed that Microsoft once considered Pakistan for expansion, but due to that instability, the company chose Vietnam by the end of 2022. He wrote that the opportunity was lost.

Jawad said that Microsoft does not operate full commercial base in Pakistan, but depends on enterprises, education and contact offices focused on government customers. In recent years, most of that work has already been handed over to local partners, while licenses and contracts are managed by their European Center in Ireland.
