Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin strongly defended the state’s law and order record in the State Assembly, responding to critics who raised concerns over rising crime and communal tensions.
The CM said that the state was not Manipur or Kashmir, nor was its situation comparable to the Kumbh Mela deaths in Uttar Pradesh.
In the State Assembly, Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin said, as per ANI “I am replying to those who say that the law & order situation is not good in the state for political gains. This is not Manipur, this is not Kashmir. Here, there were no deaths like the Uttar Pradesh Kumbh Mela. This is Tamil Nadu, don’t forget that.”

Earlier, BJP MLA Vanathi Srinivasan alleged that communal forces were gaining ground in the state. In response, Stalin reassured the Assembly that such ideologies would never be allowed to take root in Tamil Nadu.
Stalin Confident Of Forming DMK-Govt For 7th Time
Stalin also expressed strong optimism about the DMK’s future, declaring confidence that the party would return to power for a seventh time. Stalin said: “I have faith that DMK will form the government for the 7th time, seeing the achievements & schemes which we have implemented so far. In India’s electronics imports, Tamil Nadu has a 42.2% share. If criminal activities occur here, immediate action is taken and the accused are arrested. We are even ready to rectify our mistakes if there are any.”
In recognition of the police force’s role in maintaining order, Stalin announced that September 6 will henceforth be celebrated as ‘Police Day’ in Tamil Nadu.
