The Hundred 2026: The new season of England’s T20 league The Hundred will be played from 21 July to 16 August. This time a big change is going to be seen in The Hundred. There are a total of eight franchises in The Hundred, out of which teams like Manchester Super Giants, MI London, Southern Brave and Sunrisers Leeds are now owned by Indians. At the same time, auction of players is also going to be held in the first par league. The auction of The Hundred will take place for 2 days. Bidding will be held on female players on March 11 and male players on March 12. This auction will be held in London. Before this, the Southern Brave team has taken a big decision.
Entry of this Indian in Southern Brave team
The Hundred League team Southern Brave has announced the new coaching staff for its men’s team. Former Indian cricket batsman and experienced coach Hemang Badani has been appointed as the head coach of the team. At the same time, former England opener Ian Bell will play the role of assistant coach. This change is important because GMR Group had acquired 49% stake in Southern Brave last year. Since then, people associated with Delhi Capitals are being given priority in the coaching structure of the team.
Hemang Badani has a lot of coaching experience
Hemang Badani is currently the head coach of Delhi Capitals in IPL, where he gave a good start to the team in the last season. However, could not make it to the playoffs. He has immense experience in franchise cricket, having also been associated with GMR Group teams like Seattle Orcas in Major League Cricket and Dubai Capitals in ILT20. His coaching style and strategy has led to success in many leagues.
On the other hand, Ian Bell has been included in the team keeping in mind the conditions of England. He has also recently worked with Badani in Delhi Capitals. Apart from working with the England Under-19 and Lions teams, he has contributed as the batting coach of the Sri Lankan Test team on their tour of England. He was also associated with the New Zealand team before the 2023 ODI World Cup. He has previously been the assistant coach of Birmingham Phoenix in Handred.
