Kannappa OTT RELEASE: Vishnu Manchu and Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Kannappa’ is set to release on OTT. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, the film came to the theater about 2 months ago and received a very faded response from the critic as well as the audience. Vishnu Manchu plays Tinnadu alias Kannappa and Akshay Kumar played Lord Shiva in this film. Along with him, the film also stars an important role in actors like Mohanlal, Prabhas, Kajal Aggarwal, Mohan Babu and Sharat Kumar. The film has been produced by Vishnu Manchu’s father and veteran actor of Telugu cinema, filmmaker Mohan Babu.
When will ‘Kannappa’ come on OTT?
‘Kannappa’ will be a stream on Amazon Prime Video from 4 September 2025. The film’s lead actor Vishnu Manchu has given this information on X. Releasing a promo of the film in his post, he wrote, “Be a witness to the epic of sacrifice and divinity. Kannappa is digitally released on prime video on 4 September 2025. Har Har Har Mahadev, Har Har Mahadev.” After this announcement, cinema lovers are showing excitements. For example, a user wrote, “Waiting.” Another user has a comment, “Hope you have got a good OTT deal.” One user wrote, “Prabhas only for Anna.” The comment of a user is, “I was recently asking about it. How much did ‘Kannappa’ earn in the theater?
On 27 June 2025, ‘Kannapa’ was released worldwide. The film grossed Rs 9.35 crore on the first day. After this, the film’s earnings fell continuously and within 9 days its game at the box office ended. The film collected only Rs 31.93 crore in India. At the same time, its earnings were reduced to Rs 41.75 crore. According to reports, this film was produced for about 200 crores. According to this, at the domestic box office, this great disaster was able to recover only 15.96 percent of the film budget.
