Prabhas is reportedly taking more than Rs 150 crore per film. There is also talk that Allu Arjun is charging even more for Raaka. Reports also claim that Mahesh Babu received a huge amount for Varanasi.
But according to trade buzz, none of them is currently the highest-paid actor in India.
That record now reportedly belongs to Ranveer Singh.
Ranveer Singh is said to have achieved this feat with the Dhurandhar films. Dhurandhar 1 and Dhurandhar 2 reportedly collected Rs 3,200 crore gross worldwide. In India alone, the two films are said to have collected more than Rs 1,900 crore net.
For these films, Ranveer did not take his regular fixed remuneration. Instead, he reportedly entered into a profit-sharing deal with the makers. This decision turned out to be a jackpot for him.
At one stage, when the budget of the first part reportedly crossed the original estimate, Ranveer himself invested money in the project. With this, he also became a co-producer.
According to trade estimates, after calculating distribution share, theatrical bonus and revenue from digital, satellite and music rights, Ranveer Singh reportedly received a massive Rs 325 crore as his share from the two films.
This amount is said to be his total remuneration for Dhurandhar 1 and Dhurandhar 2.
Before Ranveer touched the Rs 300 crore mark, Rajinikanth reportedly held the record as India’s highest-paid actor. He is said to have earned around Rs 250 crore from Jailer.
Similarly, Prabhas and Allu Arjun are also said to have earned around Rs 200 crore each from their respective films.
But now, Ranveer Singh has reportedly crossed all of them and become the highest-paid actor in India.
