New Delhi: The presidency of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) is set to pass into the hands of the third generation of the Scindia family. Mahanaaryaman Rao Scindia will take over as the new president of the MPCA.
The deadline for nominations ended on Saturday, with no other candidate filing papers for the top post. This paves the way for Mahanaaryaman to become the youngest-ever president of the association.
Former Union minister Madhavrao Scindia and current Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia have also held the MPCA presidency.
The election of the new executive committee will be held on September 2, following the nomination deadline of August 30. The new team will be elected at the MPCA’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) for a term of three years. Both Jyotiraditya and Mahanaaryaman are expected to be present in Indore on September 1 for the occasion.
