Mumbai: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday urged people to detect illegal infiltrators and report them to the police. Bhagwat also urged the people not to give in to any jobs and stay alert. Bhagwat, while speaking at the Two-Day Lecture Series On ‘100 Years Of Sangh Journey – New Horizons’, observed that the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) has already helped in pointing out the infiltrators across the country.
The govt has a lit to do regarding infiltration: Mohan Bhagwat
“The government has a lot to do regarding infiltration. They have to detect and deport. This wasn’t happening until now, but it has started little by little, and it will gradually increase. When the census or the SIR is conducted, many people come to light who are not citizens of this country; they are automatically excluded from the process,” he said.
The RSS chief added, “But we can do one thing: we can work on detection. Their language gives them away. We should detect them and report them to the appropriate authorities. We should inform the police that we suspect these people are foreigners, and they should investigate and keep an eye on them, and we will also keep an eye on them. We will not give employment to any foreigner. If someone is from our country, we will give them employment, but not to foreigners. You should be a little more vigilant and aware.” Speaking at the event, the RSS chief also said that the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) should be framed by taking everyone into confidence.
‘Islam is called the religion of peace’
Stressing the need to have trust, friendship, and a dialogue with Muslim and Christian communities, he added, “Islam is called the religion of peace, but peace is not seen. If there is no spirituality in religion, it becomes dominating and aggressive. What is seen in Islam and Christianity today is not as per the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Prophet Muhammad. We need the practice of true Islam and Christianity.”
