Before the Bihar assembly elections, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced the ‘Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Package 2025’ (BIPPP-2025) to increase investment in the state and provide employment to the youth.
Under this scheme, it has been promised to provide free land to those setting up industries in the state. Nitish Kumar gave information about this on the social media platform ‘X’ (first Twitter). He informed that this scheme has been implemented after BIADA Amnesty Policy 2025 and its purpose is to make Bihar an industrial hub.
Who will get more land?
According to the Chief Minister, free land will be given to those investing under this new scheme based on the parameters given below :.
Industrial units, who invest more than ₹ 100 crore and provide direct employment to more than 1,000 people, will be given free land up to 10 acres.
Companies investing more than ₹ 1,000 crore will get free land up to 25 acres.
Fortune 500 companies will also be given free land up to 10 acres.
What will those who will not get free land?
In a public advertisement issued by the government, it has been told that companies which do not meet the standards given above will be provided land with 50% discount on BIADA rates.
How to apply?
Investors will have to apply before 31 March 2026 to avail this scheme. The state government claims that this scheme will help in providing employment to 1 crore youth in the coming 5 years. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the purpose of this initiative is to give investment in Bihar and promote industries, to make youth efficient and give them better employment opportunities within the state.
