To remain healthy, it is necessary for all the organs to function properly. If we talk about kidney, it works like a filter in the body, which helps in eliminating waste through the urine. The kidneys convert vitamin D into its active form, which helps absorb calcium to strengthen teeth and bones. But in today’s time, kidney related problems start increasing a lot. Due to this, many types of problems appear in the body. Therefore, it is always advised to eat healthy and maintain a proper lifestyle.
In today’s time, apart from unhealthy eating habits, some bad habits done unknowingly can also cause kidney related problems. Therefore, it is important to change those habits in time. Let’s know about it from experts
What do experts say?
Dr. Rajesh Aggarwal, Director of Nephrology and Kidney Transplant at Shri Balaji Action Medical Institute, Delhi, says that kidney is an important organ of our body, which helps in removing toxins and extra water from the body, but often due to some everyday mistake, the kidney can be inadvertently damaged. The way you start your morning also has a direct impact on the health of your kidneys.
Many people drink tea or coffee on an empty stomach without drinking water after waking up in the morning, which is a very common but harmful habit. Consuming caffeine on an empty stomach puts pressure on the kidneys and can increase dehydration in the body. Apart from this, many people try to hold urine for a long time, especially during morning walk or for any other reason, then there is excessive pressure on the kidneys and this can increase the risk of infection or stone problem.

Many people, in order to lose weight or for some other reason, skip breakfast or do it very late. But if doing this becomes a habit, then staying hungry for a long time increases the accumulation of toxins in the body, which can cause damage to the kidneys. Maintaining balance of blood sugar and blood pressure in the body is important to keep the kidneys healthy. For this, having a healthy breakfast in the morning, drinking the right amount of water and doing light exercise is very beneficial.
Keep these things in mind
If a person smokes after waking up in the morning or has a problem like high blood pressure or diabetes for a long time and is not kept balanced, then it can increase the risk of kidney failure. Therefore, the day should be started in a healthy manner. After waking up in the morning, drink some water, doing light stretching would also be good, stay away from salt and processed foods. Understand your body’s needs. Making changes in these small habits can be beneficial for kidneys and overall health.
