The Post Office has approved Productivity Based Bonus (PLB) for the financial year 2024-25. This approval has been issued after the approval of the President. Under this scheme, employees will get a bonus equal to 60 days’ salary.

Who will benefit?

This bonus will be given to Group C, Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), Non-Gazetted Group B employees, Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) and full-time casual workers. This step will directly benefit lakhs of employees and the happiness of the festival will be doubled. This bonus will not only strengthen the financial condition of the employees but will also increase their enthusiasm and excitement during the festival season. Bonus will be calculated like this

According to the report of Economic Times, the amount of bonus will be calculated on the basis of the average salary of the employees. The formula for regular employees will be as follows (average salary × 60 days ÷ 30.4). This calculation will include basic pay, dearness allowance, special allowance, duty allowance and training allowance. The maximum salary limit for bonus has been fixed at ₹7,000 per month. At the same time, the amount of bonus for Gramin Dak Sevaks will be decided on the basis of their Time-Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) and Dearness Allowance.
