You can do Balasana daily to balance Vata dosha. Actually Vata is considered dry and cold. Doing Balasana calms the mind. In this, sitting in Vajrasana, the body and chest are kept between the knees while bending downwards. This also reduces anxiety and due to blood circulation towards the head, hair also becomes healthy. In this way Vata gradually starts getting balanced. (Getty Images)
To balance Vata dosha, you should do Paschimottasana. While doing this asana, first you have to sit comfortably with your legs spread and then you have to bend the front side downwards. Doing this yoga asana helps in getting rid of problems caused by Vata like constipation, gas, indigestion. It is also helpful in reducing anxiety and restlessness. 
Uttanasana is also helpful in balancing Vata, because in this one has to stand in Tadasana and then bring the body forward and bend downwards, due to which the head comes below the heart. This improves blood circulation in the brain, which is helpful in improving the mood. Apart from this, it increases internal warmth in the body and balances Vata. This yoga asana also has many other benefits like improvement in posture, relief from back pain, reduction in stiffness, strengthening of calf muscles.
Shavasana is also a good yoga asana to balance Vata, because doing it gives relaxation to the whole body and it also relaxes the nervous system. This provides relief from fatigue, weakness and insomnia caused by Vata. This is helpful in restoring your energy. This balances the stress hormones, which improves Vata. 
If Vata is increased then doing Vajrasana is very beneficial, because this Yogasana works to improve your digestion. This prevents gas and also provides relief from constipation. This also stabilizes the mind. This asana increases mild heat and energy in the body, which helps in balancing Vata.
