January 2024 The figures were quite impressive for Maruti Suzuki India. Last month, the company sold a total of more than 2.36 lakh vehicles, whereas in January 2023 this figure was 2.23 lakh units. The S-Presso and Alto are the cheapest cars in the company’s portfolio in the country. Both these cars of mini segment recorded good sales. In fact, a total of 14,268 units of both were sold last month, while 14,247 units were sold in January 2023. Let us tell you that the starting price of Alto is Rs 3.50 lakh and the starting price of S-Presso is Rs 3.70 lakh.
Features of Maruti Alto K10
Alto K10 is based on the company’s updated Heartect platform. This hatchback is powered by the new generation K-series 1.0L dual jet, dual VVT engine, which generates 49 kW (66.62 PS) of power at 5500 rpm and 89 Nm of torque at 3500 rpm. The company claims a fuel efficiency of 24.90 km/litre for the automatic variant and 24.39 km/litre for the manual variant. Whereas, its CNG variant gives a mileage of 33.85 km/kg.
Alto K10 has a 7-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system. The company is already offering this system in S-Presso, Celerio and WagonR. The infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, USB, Bluetooth and an Aux cable. Its steering wheel has also been redesigned and the controls for the infotainment system are given on the steering wheel itself. It is worth noting that the company has now made six airbags standard.
This hatchback will get electronic brake force distribution (EBD), anti-lock braking system (ABS) and reverse parking sensor. Along with this, the Alto K10 will also have pre-tensioner and force limiter front seat belts. It will also have reverse parking sensors for safe parking. The car is also provided with many other safety features including speed-sensing auto door lock and high-speed alert. It will be available in six color options like Speedy Blue, Earth Gold, Sizzling Red, Silky White, Solid White and Granite Grey.
Features of Maruti S-Presso
This car has a 1.0-litre petrol engine. This engine is capable of generating power of 68PS and torque of 89Nm. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard with the engine, while a 5-speed AMT gearbox is also an option. The option of CNG kit is also available with this engine. In CNG mode, this engine generates power of 56.69PS and torque of 82.1Nm. Only 5-speed manual gearbox is available in this option. Talking about the mileage of Maruti S-Presso, the mileage of its petrol MT variant is 24kmpl, mileage of petrol AMT is 24.76kmpl and mileage of CNG variant is 32.73km/kg.
