Google India has released the list of most searched events in 2025. Topics ranging from national to Bollywood have got a place in it. While people searched a lot about the Mahakumbh held in Prayagraj, people kept a close watch on everything from Delhi elections to Pahalgam and Operation Sindoor. Two celebrities from Bollywood Dharmendra and Shefali Jariwala are also included in this list. People searched for Dharmendra, who recently left the world, so much on Google that it became the second most searched topic this year.

Why was Dharmendra searched so much on Google?

Actually, the search about Dharmendra had increased since November 10, when the news of his being on ventilator in Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai came. Some news channels and websites had also spread false news of his demise. The discussion that started about Dharam ji from that time continued even after his death on 24 November 2025. 89-year-old Dharmendra worked in Bollywood for almost seven decades and appeared in more than 300 films. His next film ‘Ikkis’ will be released on 25 December 2025. Actors like Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda, Akshay Kumar’s niece Simar Bhatia and Jaideep Ahlawat will also be seen in this film.

Shefali Jariwala, 42, died on 27 June 2025. It is said that Shefali Jariwala, popularly known as ‘Kanta Laga Girl’, died of cardiac arrest. Due to her sudden demise, Shefali was searched a lot on Google. People especially wanted to know about the reason for his death, his fitness and family etc. Shefali Jariwala is at number 9 among the most searched topics of 2025.
