The Nepal Tourism Board said that in the first seven months of this year, a total of 6,47,882 tourists came by air in the country, which is the highest in the period after Kovid-19.
According to the data released on Friday, 70,193 passengers came by air in Nepal in July last year, which is 8.7 percent more than the same period of 2024. Among international tourists, Indians topped the Indian with tourists in July 27,152 (38.7 percent). This was followed by 6,890 (9.8 percent) from China and 6,626 (9.4 percent) tourists from America. Bangladesh finished fourth with 4,413 (6.3 percent) tourists and Britain 3,547 (5.1 percent) with tourists.

Deepak Raj Joshi, Chief Carpetal Officer (CEO) of Nepal Tourism Board, said, the increasing number of tourists in recent times can be given to promotional programs, investment flows from private sector and diverse tourism products, as the country is celebrating the decade (2025-2035). Nepal is a popular destination for Indians, which come to this neighboring Himalayan country for both pilgrimage and adventure tourism.
