There is no shortage of petrol, diesel and gas, government said – do not pay attention to rumours.

Petroleum Ministry Secretary Sujata Sharma has clearly said that there is sufficient availability of crude oil in the country and all the refineries are working at 100% capacity. He appealed to the people to avoid panic buying, because there is no shortage of petrol and diesel. Also, there has been no increase in the prices of common fuels.

Complete supply of PNG and CNG also

According to the government, the supply of domestic PNG and transport CNG is also completely normal. So far, about 2.20 lakh consumers have shifted from LPG to PNG, while about 2.5 lakh applications are still pending. Due to this, efforts are being made to reduce the pressure of gas supply.

LPG delivery continues, booking increased

Domestic LPG delivery remains normal, although an increase in bookings has been seen. The government says that this is not a situation of panic and gas is being provided to all consumers on time. At the same time, 26 tonnes of commercial gas has been supplied to dhabas, canteens and restaurants.

The government has also taken strict action against black marketing. About 2000 cylinders have been seized in the raid. Also, kerosene has been allocated to all the states and allocation orders have been issued for 16 states.

Shipping and Port Operation General

According to the Shipping Ministry, 20 ships and 540 Indian sailors are present in the Gulf area and all are safe. So far 50 Indian citizens have been brought back. The condition of the port is also normal. Mundra Port has taken steps like free storage for 15 days and waiver of transport charges.
