This young man named Eli Piatt, living in Portland, Oregon, shared his experience. According to the Newsweek report, Eli Piatt told that he took out his childhood savings after ten years. He also said that he had saved this money by collecting small coins. He shared about this surprising experience on social media platform Threads.
When the piggy bank was emptied, it contained 801 pennies, 928 nickels, 1,202 dimes, 2,002 quarters, 1 half-dollar coin, and $11. The total amount was $686.61 (approximately 60,865 Indian rupees). After service charges for counting the money, Piatt received $597.45. That means approximately Rs 53,000 in Indian rupees.
By the way, Piatt says that he is very happy to receive such a huge amount. He also told that he is going to spend this money on his favorite hobby of collecting vinyl records. Piatt further said that he did not want to discuss much about his savings, he had posted it only on threads for close friends and relatives, but due to the interconnectedness of social media platforms, his post went viral everywhere.
