Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s The Vvaan – Force Of The Forrest, set to release on September 25, 2026, has swiftly resolved a music-rights controversy that surfaced days before its theatrical opening.
Vocalist-composer Sargam Vaish had accused the makers of using around 25 seconds of his rendition of the devotional chant ‘Aigiri Nandini’ in the trailer without permission. He claimed he had not issued an NOC or licence and warned of legal action.
The issue, however, was settled within 24 hours. Balaji Motion Pictures’ legal team met Vaish and acquired the required sync rights. The musician later said the studio’s executives and lawyers were cooperative and that the matter had been resolved smoothly.
The quick resolution comes in contrast to the music-rights dispute surrounding Kantara and its Varaha Roopam, which escalated into a prolonged legal battle after the film’s release. With the Aigiri Nandini issue settled before release, The Vvaan now heads toward its September 25 opening without the controversy hanging over its trailer.
