Recently, the news became fast on social media that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is giving “Lifetime Golden Visa” to citizens of certain countries in only ₹ 23 lakh, ie almost 1 lakh. There was a wave of happiness in many people from countries like India and Bangladesh. But now the UAE government has revealed the truth of this whole matter.
UAE government refuses clearly
UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) has clearly stated that the rumors associated with golden visa are being spread on some media channels and websites, there is no truth in some media channels and websites. The institution has said that the matter of any “lifetime golden visa” is completely wrong and there is no legal basis.
The ICP also clarified that all the conditions, terms and procedure related to the golden visa have been fixed under the official laws of UAE and information about them is given only on the ICP website or mobile app.

The institution emphasized that the application for Golden Visa can only be made through UAE’s official websites and official channels. No external or private consultancy is considered an authorized representative of this process.
Fake news was spread without permission
UAE officials said that recently a foreign consultancy firm claimed that any person from outside could get a lifetime golden visa on easy terms. This news has no legal basis and was spread without the permission of the UAE government. Now legal action will be taken against those who spread such false information.
Lifetime visa in 23 lakhs? The reality is something else
The rumor started with a report of a news agency PTI, claiming that citizens of India and Bangladesh are getting golden visas for Rs 23 lakh. This news was printed by Riyad Kamal Ayub, managing director of Raid Group, who is running a consultancy for UAE Golden Visa with VFS Global.
This report said that the UAE government is running a nomination-based golden visa pilot program, which does not require financial investment and this visa will be given based on their talent and capacity to contribute to the country. But the truth is that such enrollment -based system is already present since 2019 and its decision is fully decided at the discretion of the UAE government. No agency or person has any role in this.
