The announcement was accompanied by a new teaser in which Johar hints at another season packed with mind games, betrayals and unexpected twists. The makers have described the upcoming edition as a bigger and more intense competition than its predecessor.

First Contestants

The first two contestants revealed for Season 2 are Bigg Boss 17 winner and comedian Munawar Faruqui and Bollywood actor Mallika Sherawat. Their participation was confirmed through the latest promotional video shared by the makers, while the identities of the remaining celebrity contestants are expected to be announced in phases ahead of the premiere.

Prime Video has also confirmed that the new season will feature 21 celebrity players, who will compete in a high-stakes game where alliances, strategy and deception determine who survives until the finale.

The Traitors Season 1

The first season of The Traitors came out and somehow quickly became one of Prime Video India’s biggest reality originals, it really started getting attention for its psychological gameplay and that celebrity cast. The debut edition ended and somehow Nikita Luther and Uorfi Javed were the ones who took the win. It helped lock the series in as a major reality franchise inside India.

Made by Dharmatic Entertainment in collaboration with All3Media International, The Traitors is the Indian version of the globally acclaimed format De Verraders which has been used in more than 40 countries. In the show, contestants have to spot the hidden “traitors” inside the group while also trying not to get eliminated, so it ends up mixing strategy, suspense and a bit of social manipulation.
