Awasthi was the ‘most trusted’ officer of Yogi government
Avnish Awasthi has been an IAS of the 1987 batch UP cadre. Till 31 August 2022 retired, he was counted among the most powerful officers of the Yogi government. While holding important positions like Home and Information Department, his image was made by the ‘most trusted officer’ of the Chief Minister. After retirement, he was made the Chief Advisor to the Chief Minister and since then he has been continuously working in the same position.
