The strength of Adani Group will increase in the aviation sector, prepared a plan of 20,000 crores

Adani Airports Holdings, will spend ₹ 20,000 crore to erect cities like the airport in the next few years. Its main objective is to strengthen other businesses related to airport operations and make them the main source of their total income.

According to an ET report, Arun Bansal, CEO of Adani Airports, said that this strategy will provide the company a permanent and Flexib business model, where the airports will become a business hub in itself, not limited to flights.

The biggest focus on Mumbai and Navi Mumbai airports

According to the Economic Times report, about 70% of the entire investment will be spent on new projects near Mumbai and Navi Mumbai airports. In particular, a new “airport township” will be built on 240 acres of land at Navi Mumbai Airport, the first part of which will be ready by October 2025.

This area will be fully for commercial use, which will include five hotels with 1,000 rooms, a large shopping mall, and three office towers. However, it will not be allowed to create private houses here.

Work will be done on the lines of international model

The entire plan has been made like international airport cities like Shifol Airport, Sydney Airport, and ‘The Circle’ of Zurich, where hospitality, retail and office spaces are present together and which keep the airport busy throughout the year. Amit Grover, CEO of Citicides Development at Adani Airports, said that this new scheme will be added not only to the passengers but also to the local people, so that this area will remain active at all times.

Will the company’s non -aviation revenue increase?

The ET report said that currently 50% of the income of Adani Airports comes from air activities. But the company hopes that by 2030 it will be reduced to 30%, and the remaining 70% income will be from non-hobby areas like retail, hotels, offices, food courts.

Development opportunities at Navi Mumbai Airport

The report stated that the Adani Group is interacting with the top hotel chain to operate these new properties. Arun Bansal, CEO of Adani Airports, also said that there are some legal limitations at the current Mumbai airport, as it comes under the Airports Authority of India Act. At the same time, there are more development opportunities at Navi Mumbai Airport, so it is being started from there.
