Love Story: A married couple with an age difference of 35 years lived the most special moment of their lives when their son was born on the same day when the husband celebrated his 70th birthday.
Although there is no age for love, there is definitely a time to become a parent. However, this couple proved both the assumptions wrong. First love and marriage with a woman 35 years younger, and then becoming a father at the age of 70 and welcoming the first child, that is why the story of this couple has become a topic of discussion on social media.
This is how the first meeting happened
Glenda, 35, and her husband Roy welcomed their son Roy Briley III on June 6, 2025. The special thing was that this day was also Roy’s 70th birthday (man becomes father at 70). The couple fulfilled their dream of becoming parents through IVF journey. Glenda and Roy met for the first time in November 2020. Glenda had come to Roy, the owner of a real-estate and insurance company, for advice on starting her own insurance business. During the conversation, an instant connection was formed between the two. Roy invites Glenda to dinner that evening. The conversation between the two went so well that they met four more times within a week.
The story reached marriage
Just two months after their first meeting, both of them started living together and made the relationship exclusive. Roy proposed to Glenda during dinner at the Captain Cook Hotel in Alaska on Valentine’s Day 2022. On July 27, 2022, both of them got married in an intimate ceremony in the presence of only 20 guests.
IVF journey and struggles
After marriage, the couple decided to expand their family and started the IVF journey in September 2022. Roy had previously battled prostate cancer, due to which he had to undergo sperm extraction surgery. Dr faced miscarriage in her first two attempts at IVF, but successfully got pregnant in the third attempt in December 2024. In June 2025, son Roy Briley III was born. This is Roy’s ninth child. Before this, he had eight children from two marriages.
Changed lifestyle for son
Roy says that he feels responsible for his wife and son to remain healthy. He walks on the treadmill six days a week and goes to the gym three to four times. Rai told that since 2022 he drinks only water and never consumed alcohol or drugs. He says that even though he is not 35 or 45 years old, he feels fit and healthy.
What does Glenda say about the age difference?
Glenda says that when her mother Rose (56) came to know about this relationship, she raised questions. It took time for the family members to accept this relationship, but now people have started taking them seriously. Glenda says that there are more similarities between the two than their age. Both of them are hardworking, driven and career-focused.

Planning another child
The couple wants to expand their family and are planning to start the next IVF cycle in December 2026. Glenda says that this child has brought new hope and happiness for her. Roy now spends most of his time with his son and plans his entire life around him.
