The Silence Of Not Being Out There…: Karun Nair’s Cryptic Post Goes Viral After India’s Embarrassing Display

Dropped from the Test team after the England series, Karun Nair took to social media as the Indian batting unit suffered an embarrassing collapse in the Guwahati Test against South Africa on the third day and is now heading for a series defeat.

For those unversed, after South Africa put up a total of 489, India found themselves in deep trouble as, apart from Yashasvi Jaiswal’s exception with a knock of 58, the top seven batters put up a poor show, with KL Rahul making 22 runs while Sai Sudharsan was dismissed for 14. Skipper Rishabh Pant made seven runs in eight balls while Nitish Kumar Reddy made 10.

Later, Washington Sundar, demoted to number eight after batting at number three in the first game alongside Kuldeep Yadav ensured India managed to arrest the collapse, but the team are 315 runs behind during the lunch break.

Karun Nair’s Cryptic Tweet

As Indian batters face major questions mark, Nair took to social media and put up a cryptic post on social media, which quickly became the talk of the town.

“Some conditions carry a feel you know by heart – and the silence of not being out there adds its own sting,” said Karun on X.

Nair made a comeback to the Indian team in the England series after eight years, where the Indian batters put up some memorable performances. However, the 33-year-old made just 205 runs in eight innings with an average of 25.62 with a highest score of 57, which was his only half-century of the tour. The knock came in Test conditions during the first innings of the Oval Test, where the team were bowled out for 224 but later turned things around to win the game and level the series.

Overall, Karun has played 10 Test matches and scored 579 runs at an average of 41.36. He has made one century and a half-century each. Infact, his only ton was the knock of 303 against England in 2006, which made him only the second India after Virender Sehwag to score a triple century.
