What did Govinda say about ‘Bhagam Part 2’?
A report in Mid Day quoted Govinda as saying, “No one has approached me for ‘Bhagam Bhag 2’ nor is anyone sitting to talk about it. There are stories going on about me working on the sequels of not only ‘Bhagam Bhag 2’ but also many other films including ‘Partner’.” When Govinda was asked whether he would do a sequel if he gets an offer, he said, “I know sequels are popular these days. But decisions should not be taken on the basis of trust, advice and popularity. If I do a project, I have to discuss it completely. From the fee to the script, my role and the director.”

Sarita Ashwin Varde bought the rights of ‘Bhagam Part 2’
Recently, the rights of ‘Bhaagam Part 2’ have been purchased by Sarita Ashwin Varde of Roaring River Productions from Shemaroo Entertainment. They are working on the script of the film. Sarita said in a statement, “A film as special as Bhagam Bhaag deserves a sequel that is equally special. We have decided to take this step when the time is right.” Similarly, Shemaroo Entertainment CEO Hiren Gada had said that he is very happy with the partnership with Roaring River Productions. He said, “We are extremely happy to partner with an amazing team who will create a film that will carry forward the legacy of the previous film and bring more laughter, fun and entertainment.” It is believed that this film may hit the floors in mid 2026.

‘Bhagam Bhaag’ was released in 2006. Directed by Priyadarshan, this film had Akshay Kumar, Govinda and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles. The film was a hit earning approximately Rs 40.38 crore.
