‘The same fate will happen which happened in Ayodhya on December 6’, Uma Bharti angry over the statement of construction of Babri Masjid – News Himachali News Himachali

BJP Leader Uma Bharti: Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Uma Bharti warned on Sunday that if there is any attempt to build a mosque in the name of Babar, the founder of the Mughal dynasty, it will meet the same fate as what happened in Ayodhya on December 6, 1992.

Uma Bharti, a senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and a leading role in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, made this comment while reacting to Trinamool Congress MLA Humayun Kabir’s announcement in which Kabir had said that Babri Masjid would be constructed in West Bengal.

Kabir, while addressing an event, had reportedly said that Babri Masjid would be constructed in Beldanga, Murshidabad on December 6 and a large number of religious leaders from the minority community would participate in it.

Uma Bharti said in a post on ‘X’, “We will respect the mosque built in the name of God, worship and Islam, but the building built in the name of Babar will face the same fate as what happened in Ayodhya on December 6, even the bricks had gone missing.”

He said, “I advise my friend Mamata Banerjee to take action against those who talk about building a mosque in the name of Babar. You also have the responsibility for the identity and harmony of Bengal and the country.” Uma Bharti also tagged West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee along with her party in this post.

Let us tell you, on 6 December 1992, the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya was demolished by ‘kar sevaks’, who claimed that there was a Ram temple at the same place. The destruction sparked violence that left nearly 2,000 people dead. In this case, 35 people including former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani, senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi and Uma Bharti were made accused, who were acquitted by a CBI court after a long trial.
