He said that in the last 12 years, the monthly expenditure of the state government on salaries and pensions has increased four times to Rs 6,000 crore. When Telangana became a separate state in 2014, the expenditure was only Rs 1,500 crore. That means there has been a huge increase of 300%.

According to sources, a starting municipal employee in the state gets Rs 28,000 per month. At the same time, the salary of a driver with 30 years of experience exceeds Rs 1 lakh.
About 2% of the sanitation workers in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) are permanent. His average monthly salary is Rs 70,000. Apart from this, they also get other benefits.
Due to such good salary, there is tremendous competition for government jobs in the state. Recently, when recruitment was done for 563 posts of Group-1, 799 people applied for each post.
