The Sabarmati Report Box Office Collection Day 1: The Sabarmati Report was released on November 15 after much anticipation. The movie, which is based on the Godhra train incident, has been already garnering limelight for its intriguing plot.
However, even after creating much buzz, the Vikrant Massey starrer has failed to perform at the box office on day 1. The movie has minted less than 2 Cr and failed to make even Rs. 1.5 Cr at the box office.

The Sabarmati Report earned only Rs. 1.25 Cr at the box office on day 1, making the India nett collection the same amount as of now. It had 16.74% Hindi occupancy on first Friday. To note more, the movie is still ahead of Vikrant’s another film, 12th Fail, that minted only Rs. 1.1 Cr on day one. Later, the Vidhu Vinod Chopra film became a sleeper hit of 2023.

The Sabarmati Report stars Vikrant Massey, Ridhi Dogra, and Rashi Khanna in key roles. The controversial plot is what garnered the attention intially for which Vikrant even received death threats. At the trailer launch event, Vikrant revealed how he recieved death threats for signing in for the movie, “I have been receiving threats. Without drawing attention to it, it is something which I am dealing with and we, as a team, collectively are dealing with.”
Helmed by Dheeraj Sarna, the movie is bankrolled by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures. Anshul Mohan and Amul V Mohan are the other two producers of the film. The film has a face off with Tamil film, Kanguva, at the box office.
