The Raja Saab starring Prabhas is set to release on January 9, 2026, coinciding with Sankranti next year. Ahead of its theatrical release, the makers have dropped a gripping second trailer that gives a stronger sense of the story unfolding ahead.
The makers of The Raja Saab shared the trailer on X, formerly Twitter. Prabhas posted the video online and wrote, “#TheRajaSaab Trailer 2.0 (Telugu) is out now… See you all in theatres on Jan 9th, 2026.”
The film stars Prabhas, Sanjay Dutt, Riddhi Kumar, Nidhhi Agerwal and Malavika Mohanan in lead roles. The story centres on a tense clash between a hypnotist and a man determined to protect his grandmother.
The three-minute trailer of The Raja Saab reveals more of the storyline than the earlier preview. It opens with Prabhas’ character explaining that his grandmother, played by Zarina Wahab, forgets everyone except a man portrayed by Sanjay. She affectionately calls her grandson ‘Raja Saab’. He then decides to confront the spirit of Sanjay, a hypnotist who haunts his grandmother through disturbing nightmares.
The trailer further shows Prabhas embodying the hypnotist with grey hair, as well as another scene where he resembles DC’s Joker, his face painted like a clown. Maruthi directs this fantasy movie, which has been produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad, with Ishan Saksena serving as co-producer, and the film has remained in production since 2022. The Raja Saab will be clashing with Vijay Thalapathy’s last movie, Jana Nayagan.
