Himachal Weather: Himachal Pradesh is not taking the name of halting due to heavy rains and landslides. The torrential rains on Monday night and Tuesday night have worsened the situation in many districts including Mandi, Kangra, Chamba and Shimla.
A young man died due to rock fall
On Tuesday afternoon, a car fell on a car near the Neri bridge in Theog in Shimla district. The driver was seriously injured in the accident and died on the way to the hospital. According to SDMA, since June 20, 192 people have died in rain and its related incidents. Of these, 106 deaths have been directly caused by disasters like landslides, sudden floods, cloudburst and drowning.
449 roads still closed
Roads have become slippery due to rain, causing 86 people to die in road accidents. Maximum 19 people have lost their lives in road accidents in Mandi, 12 in Shimla, 8 in Kullu and 6 in Kangra. 449 roads are still closed in the state, including several national highways. In addition, 753 power transformers are closed.

Kailash Yatra postponed again
The Kinnaur Kailash Yatra has been postponed once again due to continuous heavy rains in district Kinnaur. This year this is the sixth time when the journey has been stopped due to bad weather. The administration has appealed to the pilgrims not to travel and stay at safe places. Here, the effect of the weather at Kangra Airport was also clear. Due to bad weather, only two out of five flights coming from Delhi were landed. There is no hope of relief in Himachal Pradesh at present.
