Darbhanga Kamala River Acciden: Five girls who went to bathe in Kamla river in Basauli village of Ghanshyampur police station area of Darbhanga district drowned. A 15 -year -old boy also died to save him. A total of six people were swept away in the river in the accident.
Bihar News: A major accident took place in Kamla river on Saturday in Bhagwati Kasar Basauli village of Ghanshyampur police station area of Darbhanga district. Five minor girls of the village went to bathe at Bellahi Ghat. Suddenly she started drowning in the strong currents of the river. To save him, 15 -year -old teenager Rohit Kumar alias Rohit jumped into the river, but he too drowned in deep water. This incident has caused chaos and mourning in the entire village.
Four minor’s body was removed out
The incident took place around 12 noon. Four girls and a teenager’s bodies were recovered from the river after four hours of hard work with the help of local villagers and divers. The deceased have been identified as Rohit Kumar alias Rohit Tati (15 years), Anshu Kumari, Lakshmi Kumari (15 years) and Sheetal Kumari (14 years).
Two children were evacuated safe
In the accident, Narayan Mukhiya’s daughter Saraswati Kumari (8 years) was taken out of the river by the youth of the village, Rahul and Praveen. According to the villagers, if both had not shown courage in time, Saraswati could have lost his life. At the moment, Saraswati is safe and has been sent home.

Dependents of the deceased ordered to give grant amount
There is an atmosphere of mourning in the entire Basauli village due to this tragic accident. There are voices of crying from every house. The families of the deceased are in a weeping condition. At the same time, DM of Darbhanga, Kaushal Kumar, while taking immediate action, has ordered the dependents of all the deceased to give immediate grace amount as per the standard operation process (SOP).
How did the accident happen
Local divers Mithlesh Mukhiya said that the flow of the river was very strong, which caused a lot of problems in the rescue work. Gram Panchayat chief Ranjit Jha alias Guddu Jha and local Pawan Kumar Jha also expressed deep grief over the incident and demanded all possible help to the families affected by the administration.
