Lucknow. CM Yogi will hand over the keys of the EWS flat built on the land vacated from Mafia Mukhtar in Hazratganj today. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will hand over the keys of the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) flat built on the land vacated from Mafia Mukhtar Ansari in Hazratganj’s Dalibagh area on Wednesday to the beneficiaries. This program will be organized at Ekta Van located in front of DGP residence. These flats have been built under the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Housing Scheme.
72 EWS flats – a big gift for the poor
A total of 72 flats have been built, the price of which has been fixed at Rs 10.70 lakh. The lottery process was completed on Tuesday, after which the beneficiaries were selected. This scheme is part of Chief Minister Yogi’s ‘Zero Tolerance for Mafia’ policy, under which houses are being made available to the poor by removing illegal encroachments.
2,322 square meter land of Dalibagh freed from mafia
LDA (Lucknow Development Authority) VC Prathamesh Kumar said that on the instructions of the Chief Minister, about 2,322 square meters of land was freed from the possession of mafia Mukhtar in Dalibagh, a posh area of Hazratganj. It is here that modern EWS flats have now been built under the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Housing Scheme.
3 blocks built in ground plus three structure, each flat is 36.65 square meters.
LDA VC said that in this scheme, 3 blocks have been made under ground plus three structure. The area of each flat is 36.65 square meters. Clean water, electricity, security arrangements and parking facilities for two-wheelers have been provided in the scheme. Construction of roads and parks has also been completed in external development works.
Prime location- just minutes away from major areas of the city
This residential scheme is located on 20 meter wide Bandha Road. From here, Balu Adda, 1090 Square, Narhi, Sikanderbagh and Hazratganj Square are just 5 to 10 minutes away, due to which this scheme is considered very prime in terms of location.
8000 people applied, selection was done through lottery
The online registration process for this scheme was conducted by LDA from October 4 to November 3, 2025. About 8000 people applied by the time the registration period ended. Eligible beneficiaries were selected by drawing lottery on Tuesday. Chief Minister Yogi will hand over the keys of the flat to them on Wednesday, which will make the dream house of the poor come true.
