Abhimanyu Easwaran got a second chance!

According to the report of Cricbuzz, it is believed that the name of Abhimanyu Easwaran has been put forward by the franchise, after which he has been entered in the auction list. Easwaran had earlier also registered his name at a base price of Rs 30 lakh. But, after that when BCCI released the final list of 350 players, his name was missing in it. This means that now his name has been added to the final list again.

Abhimanyu is considered a red ball specialist player.

30 year old Abhimanyu Easwaran is considered a specialist player of red ball cricket. This tag attached to his name was probably the main reason for his exclusion from the auction list of the first 350 players. But, after that, the way Abhimanyu Easwaran showed his strength in the domestic tournament Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy being played in T20 format was commendable.

Exploded with 11 sixes in SMAT

Abhimanyu Easwaran, playing for Bengal, scored 266 runs at an average of 44.33 with a strike rate of 152, hitting 11 sixes and 27 fours in 7 matches of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025. This included one century and 1 half-century. In the match against Punjab in the tournament, he scored 130 runs in just 66 balls, which included 8 sixes and 13 fours. Abhimanyu had played an innings of 58 runs against Services.

Abhimanyu Easwaran has not played IPL till date. But, the way the reports of his entry in the auction list are coming out in the last moments, it seems that what has not happened till now, may happen this time.
