Sanat Sangwan Hundred vs Mumbai: The performance of young Delhi batsman Sanat Sangwan in the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 season has been quite excellent so far. Even in the ongoing important match against Mumbai, he once again proved his ability and scored a brilliant century. This is his third century this season. Sanat Sangwan is the same player who came into limelight last season because of Virat Kohli. Virat had given him a special gift.
Sanat Sangwan again scored a century
Sanat Sangwan played an important innings in this match against Mumbai. Sanat completed his century facing 167 balls. In this he hit 11 fours and 2 sixes. In Delhi’s first innings, when the team needed strong support from the batsmen, Sanat took charge alone. He was the only batsman in the top-6 who crossed the 40-run mark. Most of the rest of the batsmen returned to the pavilion after performing disappointingly, but Sanat’s one-sided fight saved the team from trouble. He scored a total of 118 runs during this innings.
Sanat Sangwan has scored 2 centuries and 1 double century in 6 matches of the current Ranji season. Apart from this, an inning of 99 runs has also come from his bat. Sanat Sangwan has also scored 2 half-centuries during this period. That means he is continuously scoring runs for the Delhi team.
Virat Kohli gave this special gift
Let us tell you, there was a special moment for Sanat in the last season i.e. Ranji Trophy 2024-25, when Virat Kohli returned to Ranji with the Delhi team. While playing Ranji after a long time, Kohli gave a memorable gift to Sanat after the match. He gifted his signature bat to Sanat, and also handed over his entire kit bag. Sanat had also taken Kohli’s autograph on the jersey.
While sharing this moment on social media, Sanat Sangwan wrote that it is a great honor for him to share the dressing room with King Kohli. This passion and support of Kohli proved to be the turning point in Sanat’s career. That inspiration gave him new energy, and now he is continuously scoring big scores in the current season.
