Actually, this earthquake in Bangladesh cricket has come after a big decision of BCCI. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) had removed Bangladeshi fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman from their team, the reason behind which was believed to be security concerns regarding attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh. This decision caused huge resentment among the Bangladesh government and the Cricket Board (BCB). At the same time, senior BCB official Nazmul Islam also gave objectionable statements against the players, due to which players across the country protested and started boycotting cricket activities.

Mohammad Mithun made this disclosure

Mohammad Mithun, as the President of Cricketers Welfare Association, raised his voice for the rights and safety of players. But now he is receiving death threats. Mohammad Mithun while talking to Cricbuzz said, ‘It is true that I have received death threats and I have never experienced such a thing before. This has happened for the first time in my life. I don’t remember ever being involved in anything controversial. This is beyond my understanding, when have I spoken against the country?

He further said, ‘I don’t know how to understand this, because this is happening to me for the first time. I have not spoken any word against the country, I have only spoken in the interest of cricket and the players. There is no personal issue in this. Because I am the president of an organization, if I don’t talk about the rights of the players, what is the point of being in this position? No one is above the country.
