With the election season in West Bengal, the market of speculations has become heated. Everyone’s eyes are on whether Mamata Banerjee will hold the seat of power for the fourth consecutive time or whether BJP will be successful in demolishing the fort of ‘Didi’ this time.
Meanwhile, the results of the recent pre-poll survey released by VoteVibe have come out, which are pointing towards a big relief for the Trinamool Congress which is currently in power and a tough challenge for the BJP.
TMC is seen getting ‘four’ in the survey
According to the shocking data of the survey, there are strong chances of Mamata Banerjee’s return once again in West Bengal. VoteVibe’s survey has estimated that TMC may come to power in the state for the fourth consecutive time. Out of the total 294 assembly seats, TMC is projected to get 184 to 194 seats, which is much more than the magic figure of majority (148). This figure shows that despite all the challenges, Mamata Banerjee’s hold on her stronghold still remains strong.
TMC’s lead in vote share, how many seats will BJP get?
Even in terms of vote share, TMC seems far ahead of the opposition. According to the survey, 41.9% respondents have expressed their support for TMC, while the main opposition party BJP is expected to get 34.9% vote share.
In terms of seats, BJP can get 98 to 108 seats in the state. Another interesting thing revealed in the survey is that 36.5% people are willing to re-vote for their current TMC MLAs, which weakens the claims of anti-incumbency.

Two phase elections and ‘grand decision’ will be taken on 4th May
This time, the Election Commission has prepared a special election program keeping in mind the sensitivity of Bengal. This time, voting on all 294 seats of West Bengal will be held in just two phases i.e. on April 23 and April 29. This is considered a big change compared to the eight phases of the previous elections. After this, the results of the elections will be revealed on May 4, 2026, which will make it clear in whose favor the conscious people of Bengal have given the verdict. Although Congress and Left parties are trying to regain their lost ground, their presence in the survey is expected to be limited.
What is special in BJP’s third list?
As elections are approaching, BJP is also adopting an aggressive stance regarding its strategy and seat distribution. BJP has released its third list of 19 candidates for West Bengal elections. The biggest news of this list is that BJP has given ticket to the mother of the hospital rape victim, which is being seen as a big bet against the Mamta government. Through this, the party is preparing to strongly raise the issue of law and order in the state.
Will Owaisi-Kabir be able to spoil TMC’s game?
Amidst this political mathematics of seats, the entry of AIMIM’s Asaduddin Owaisi has also made the matter even more interesting. Owaisi has hit back sharply at Mamata Banerjee’s allegations of calling him BJP’s ‘B team’. Answering through figures, he asked whether he had made 77 BJP MLAs win? This time Owaisi and Humayun Kabir have formed an alliance in Bengal. Due to this, Mamata Banerjee may have to face difficulties.
