Sudipto Sen, who won the Best Director Award for ‘The Kerala Story’, has discussed the National Awards. When asked about his first reaction on receiving the award of Best Director, Sudipto told Hindustan Times, “It was a surprise. I expected the awards in the technical category. I wanted my technicians to recognize the work of my technicians. When a film gets so big that it is so big that he was discussed even after two years of release.
