The head of Anaconda that keeps rising..: R Ashwin’s brutal remark on viral Harbhajan Singh – S Sreesanth slapgate incident

Just days ago, the Founder and former Chairman of the Indian Premier League (IPL), released unseen footage of the infamous slapgate incident from the inaugural edition, which involved star Indian cricketers – Harbhajan Singh and S Sreesanth.

The video since it was released on former Australia cricketer Michael Clarke’s Beyond23 podcast, has not only got viral, it has also become the talk of the moment.

While it got attention form S Sreesanth’s wife –  who slammed the ex-IPL Chairman, too was questioned of his opinions in his latest interaction. While admitted his mistake once again, he also slammed Lalit Modi for bringing it back, terming it as his ‘selfish’ motto.

There is no point in moral policing: Ashwin on resurfacing of slapgate incident

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Ashwin deciphered, ‘It’s the head of Anaconda that keeps on rising. In the modern era, you have video footage of everything and everywhere. So this kind of resurfacing will keep happening. But I feel, see, this moment is not the proudest in both the player’s lives. Why raise it again? Why aggravate it unnecessarily? Sreesanth’s wife also put out a post. I think we should address it minimally.’

While the 38-year-old brought back Harbhajan Singh’s stance, he opined, ‘You have done something wrong and you have to live with it. There are no two ways there. But we move past it, right? Some might have done something similar in the confines of their homes and that’s why we don’t know of it. There is no point in moral policing an issue that is done and dated. They have apologised, moved past it and I think the rest of the world should do it too.’

While it continues to make rounds on social media, the two cricketers have gone past the incident with Harbhajan Singh initiating multiple apoligies. However, the exact details of the incident remain with the two cricketers involved, they have remained tight-lipped.
